On my recent visit to the American History Museum in Washington DC, I came across this slogan coined by Julia Child's husband (Paul). DZ has now adopted this phrase...especially now that we are in full throttle with wedding preparations.

2011 Easter
Guess what?
I didn't bring any of the bunny boxes down
Not one
Not one
Since we were going to be out of town
I thought I'd give the fluffy decor a rest
We flew home from DC Easter morning
And to our surprise
We were greeted with this lovely sight:
"Somebunny" climbed up into the garage attic
Pulled down the baskets
Filled them up
And set them out...
So glad that somebunny did not forget
Later in the afternoon
And had a most delicious meal
A very lovely day indeed!

Produce Bags
I picked up two packages of these at Target tonight:
Ten (10) reusable produce bags
Ten (10) reusable produce bags
I don't know about you
But I feel it is so wasteful to use those clear plastic bags
When I purchase fresh produce
I have been thinking of making some reusable bags myself
In fact, I have a friend and fellow blogger who made some
From old sheets...such a clever gal isn't she?
I can't wait to trot down to the Milk Pail market
And fill up my new little mesh bags
With yummy fruits and veggies
It feels so good to be green!

Today's Lunch
I am lucky to live within 5 minutes of my work...door to desk.
I go home for lunch most days
And today, I had "fresh" roasted red pepper crab bisque soup (from Safeway...very tasty I must say!), pita chips and a glass of milk
Heating my soup stirred up memories of walking home from elementary school for lunch every day (except hamburger Friday)
My mother would have a nice hot pot of Campbell's tomato soup and sometimes homemade scones waiting for us as we came through the door
We'd gobble it up..and then we'd scoot back to class
All energized for our afternoon lessons.
I had a wonderful childhood.

My Weekend
We had a most lovely weekend indeed
That is, compared to last weekend
Which was filled with buckets of rain
The sun shone so bright
All.weekend.long.
Did not stay inside at all
Made multiple trips to the nursery
Including Home Depot which were selling their six packs for 99cents
I came home with this
Which is just a fraction of my plant purchases
That is, compared to last weekend
Which was filled with buckets of rain
The sun shone so bright
All.weekend.long.
Did not stay inside at all
Made multiple trips to the nursery
Including Home Depot which were selling their six packs for 99cents
I came home with this
Which is just a fraction of my plant purchases
I dug five holes with my handy dandy post hole digger
With the help of my very talented man with a drill
My back yard is coming right along
Nothing like a wedding to motivate you to get things done
Right?
