Before/After Swing

Remember when I bought this swing  at an estate sale a couple of months ago?

I knew it was a diamond in the rough...

 So with a bit of scrubbing, some black spray paint and a trip to the store for some cushions....whalaa... Such a peaceful place to sit each morning as I spend a few moments swaying back and forth while drinking hot cocoa in this corner of my garden.

So fun for our families to celebrate this momentous occasion.

After the pomp and circumstance we headed over to the Supreme Court for a tour

Washington DC is such a fabulous city for sight seeing...

My beautiful mother today

We honored her by gathering around the table in my parent's backyard on such a lovely spring Mother's day

A place where many family gatherings have been held over the years.

We showered her with pink tinged presents


Including a tribute book .

We wrote of our love for our mother/grandma and pasted our favorite pictures of our lives growing up.

at an estate sale a couple weeks ago.

I love how it...
Brings a bit of sunshine into the room 

And provides a nice surface for creating

Really love how my "sewing cave" is coming along.

A Baby or Two in the Oven

I was outside 

Doing some weeding around the roses

Enjoying the scent of beautiful new blooms

Birds started squawking overhead

I looked up and noticed one of the birds fly into this house.

Ahhh....
The mom and dad were nervous about me being too close to their treasure.

Can't wait to hear that sound of "peeping" in a few weeks.
